Janell Kalify is a licensed clinical social worker with over 15 years of experience as a mental health professional. She specializes in working with adults and young adults dealing with a variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, addictions, grief/loss, trauma, sexuality and/or gender issues, relationship problems and stress. She also enjoys working with clients who are experiencing physical health challenges, sports performance issues, and those interested in life transitions and personal growth. She leads the Adult Process Group at Atlas Psychiatry.
Janell's treatment approach is eclectic and tailored to the individual client's needs. She is experienced in providing both short-term solution-based therapy and long-term insight-oriented therapy, as well as addressing issues from a mind-body perspective.
In addition to working in college mental health for the last 9 years at Tulane University and being actively involved in the American College Health Association, Janell currently holds a faculty position at the New Orleans-Birmingham Psychoanalytic Center in New Orleans.
