Dr. Lauren LaRose is a Board Certified Adult Psychiatrist and Board Certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Washington and Lee University majoring in Spanish, after which she attended and graduated from LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans. She then completed her residency training in the LSU New Orleans Adult Psychiatry program, serving as Chief Resident, and completed her fellowship training in the LSU New Orleans Child and Adolescent Psychiatry program. As part of her training, Dr. LaRose also completed the Harris Infant Mental Health training program, which focuses on treatment of trauma, attachment issues, anxiety, and mood and behavioral disturbances in children 6 years old and under.


Dr. LaRose is qualified to treat individuals throughout their lifespan, from young childhood into adulthood. She enjoys working with families and caregivers to help strengthen parenting practices and improve family dynamics. Dr. LaRose specializes in treating a wide range of mental health issues from behavioral disturbances to severe mood and psychotic disorders. She strives to incorporate the biopsychosocial model in her practice, using evidence-based medicine to address presenting symptomatology while also focusing on the child’s functioning at home, school, and in other activities of daily life. Dr. LaRose’s goal is to provide a warm, trusting environment where individuals and families can actively participate and collaborate in their treatment.
