Kayla Seals, NP
Kayla Seals is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She graduated from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, then received a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of South Alabama. Prior to joining Atlas Psychiatry, she worked as a nurse and gained her clinical psychiatry experience at University Medical Center - New Orleans and Ochsner Health. She has been recognized for her academic performance through membership in the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, which is offered to the top 10% of graduate students, and the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society. She is also a member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association.
Kayla has experience in a variety of clinical settings. She has worked as a nurse for four years and has a background in trauma care, critical care, recovery, and inpatient psychiatry. Throughout her nursing career, she developed a passion for psychiatry, including managing addiction and treatment-resistant depression. She strives to have an authentic relationship with her patients and for them to feel comfortable around her. In addition, she strives to incorporate the latest evidence-based research into her practice. In Kayla’s free time, she enjoys hiking, running, doing Pilates, and hot yoga. She also enjoys spending time with her plants, pets, and family.
